Research and Development centre is one of the Research programs run by Department of Civil Engineering. The program is approved by AICTE, Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka. Research and development is about creating, Analysing, designing, and improving the aesthetics and services. Research and development in Civil engineering comprises several major areas such as analyzing the long range plans, survey reports, maps, and other data to plan and design projects. Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors during the planning and risk-analysis stages of a project, structural dynamics, bridge engineering, wind induced vibration & control, non-destructive techniques, passive and semi-active control of buildings, performance based seismic design, system identification & structural health monitoring.
Eligibility: Candidates who have acquired ME/M.Tech/ in Civil Engineering/ the admissions are through central counselling on the basis of merit in VTU-Ph.D entrance or GATE.
