23-02-2011 : Campus Interview by Toyota Company

Campus Interview for the position of Sales Officer was conducted by Toyota Company on 23rd February 2011 for various under-graduate degree students.  Some students have been shortlisted for final selection.

14.02.2011 : Establishment of Research Laboratory

A separate Research laboratory has been established, in the college to promote Research activities among the faculty and PG students.  Integrating Research with teaching will improve the proficiency in the subjects of specialization, consequently improve the quality of teaching among the staff.

The research activities in the college are initiated to infuse creativity, ignite the imagination of scientific research apart from inculcating scientific temper among the students.

The food fest was conducted in a very grand style at Brindavan College on 8/2/2011. All the students and faculty actively participated in the festival by putting up food stalls. It was indeed a very mouth watering, lip smacking sight with hot, delicious cuisines from different countries like India, Srilanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Oman,  Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Maldives etc.

The enthusiastic youngsters had also decorated their stalls beautifully in which the cultures and tradition of their country was depicted. Their costume was also portraying a culture, adaptations to biogeographically areas. The whole atmosphere was filled with lots of taste, fun & frolic.
Everybody had tickled their tongues and were not ready to leave the stalls-the hot sun made them quench their thirst with chillers and thrillers.

Brindavan college presented a sight of a typical “Global Village” on this occasion as the student had taken pain to prepare very tasty & delicious special food/dishes of the respective countries.

Congratulation! to the team of Dr. Ashok Kumar K.S. Assistant Professor, Principal Investigator and Miss. Shanika Chaturanga, B.Sc., Genetics and Mr. Parikhit Borthakur, M.Sc., Genetics as student investigators, Department of Applied Genetics, for obtaining the research project entitled “Cloning of TNF – alfa Convertase Enzyme (TACE) domain funded by the Vision group on Science and Technology (VGST), Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science, Government of Karnataka.

Brindavan college has been Recognized as a RESEARCH CENTRE.

The P.G. Department of Microbiology, Brindavan College, Bhoopasandra, has been recognized as Research Centre by Bangalore University for conducting Research for the award of Ph.D degree.

ECHELON - the Commerce and Management Club conducted a Product Launch Competition on 13th October, 2009. More than 10 teams took part in the event showcasing new, creative and innovative products. The event gave an opportunity to the students to exhibit their talent and creativity. The event was a grand success, which motivated the students to organize and take part in such events with zeal and enthusiasm in the future. The Program was concluded with a Guest Lecture by Mr. SELVAKUMAR (Ernst. & Young), an eminent entrepreneur who spoke on “Realities of Product Launch”, followed by prize distribution.
